Newton Primary School has been part of the Spearwood community since 1981, when the school first opened with 156 students. Today, we are a vibrant Kindergarten to Year 6 school of approximately 330 students, proud of our history and excited about our future.
Located on Marvell Avenue, around 10 kilometres south of Fremantle, Newton sits within a community with strong local roots. The area surrounding the school was once used for market gardening and quarrying, and this local history continues to form an important part of Newton’s story and identity.
Our school community is wonderfully diverse, with students and families from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. We are also proud to welcome second-generation Newton families, with many parents choosing for their children the same school they attended themselves.
At Newton, relationships matter. We want every child to feel known, valued and supported to achieve their best. Our CARE values are at the heart of our school and guide the way we learn, work and grow together.
