At Newton Primary School, English helps students become confident readers, writers, speakers and listeners.

Students develop their skills through the three areas of Language, Literature and Literacy. They learn to read, write, speak, listen, view and create for a range of purposes and audiences.

Through engaging texts and learning experiences, students build strong communication skills, develop a love of reading and learn to express their ideas clearly, creatively and confidently.
