At Newton Primary School, Humanities and Social Sciences helps students understand the world around them and their place within it.

Students explore History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship, and Economics and Business, developing knowledge about people, places, communities and events, both past and present.

Through HASS, students are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, consider different perspectives and make informed decisions. They develop curiosity about the world and an understanding of how they can contribute as active and responsible citizens.
